Taif university engineering students and scholars visited SAWACO North Obhur Plant.
SAWACO's staff extended a warm welcome to the 40 college students and 6 scholars and provided RO technical lectures in the plant premises.

This educational tour stressed the importance of water in the prosperity of our society and the need to preserve it. This message stands at the very core of SAWACO's Corporate Social Responsibility Policy.
Baterjee Medical College for Science and Technology, selected SAWACO for their project study as part of their academic assignment . SAWACO's staff extended a warm welcome to the college students and scholars and provided an educational and technical lecture on the plant’s premises. Mr. Nizar Kammourie, General Manager of SAWACO, stated that SAWACO will keep opening its doors and facilities for academic institutions in Saudi Arabia and beyond to benefit from the array of water technologies that are in operation.
As part of Saudi Aramco Jeddah Training Center - ECO Team "Water Conservation Campaign" summer program, students and scholars visited SAWACO North Obhur Plant. SAWACO Engineers explained to the visitors the importance of Water conservation, starting with the scarcity of water in Saudi Arabia and the difficulties that are faced in producing fresh water for potable use.
Finally, the students ended their visit with a tour inside the plant to witness the whole desalination process .
The visit according to representatives of Uniliver, was a fruitful one and ensured that SAWACO is maintaining the required high standards of Uniliver.
The visit was concluded on a very good note and some further recommendations were provided to enhance the cooperation between Uniliver and SAWACO.
SAWACO welcomed 16 students from Baterjee Medical college on 9 and 10 March, 2016. SAWACO Engineers gave them a presentation that started with the scarcity of water in our kingdom and the difficulties faced in producing fresh water for portable use. SAWACO engineers also taught them how the process of desalination starts form beach wells going to our big raw water tanks and pass through many stages of filters until reaching our RO Membranes and how the membranes separate salt from water by Reverse Osmosis Technology. After that, our production Engineers showed them how rejected water was dispensed back to the sea by pumping it through reject pipe line deep in the sea in order to protect marine life from environmental pollution. The students also visited our laboratory and our chemist gave them a small tutorial about our chemical dosing system and SAWACO standards compared with “WHO“ and “SASO“ standards and presented them our ISO certificates. Finally, the students ended their visit with a small tour inside the plant to see the whole process of desalination; gaining awareness in saving each drop of water to prevent fresh water scarcity.
King Abdul Aziz University Jeddah - Al Kamel Branch, students and scholars from Mechanical Engineering Faculty visited SAWACO North Obhur Plant as part of their project study.

In line with SAWACO's on-going CSR initiative regarding raising community awareness about the value of water, students and teachers from Jeddah & Riyadh Japanese School visited SAWACO South Jeddah Conrniche Water Desalination plant.
Mr.Nakamura and his team, from SAWACO's sister company Suido Kiko Middle East , explained the water desalination importance in Saudi Arabia.
In line with SAWACO's on-going CSR initiative regarding raising community awareness about the value of water, students and teachers from Kids Campus School visited SAWACO North Obhor Water Desalination plant. Students were introduced to the world of seawater desalination showing them the effort it takes to transform sea water into pure drinking water.
